Bithumb Hacked for Over $30 million

About $32 million worth of assets was hacked from one of the most popular cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, South Korean exchange Bithumb. The hackers tapped into hot wallet reserves for Ripple, and others. Bithumb, in response to the incident, announced that it has salvaged the remaining funds to cold wallets, and pledged to fully compensate those affected for their losses. An investigation into the theft was launched by the South Korean authorities shortly after the incident.
